The Fairbanks Community Food Bank was founded during a recession in 1982. The purpose then and now is to salvage local surplus food and give it to people who need it. We have been doing that continuously for 34 years. 2016 will be full of concerns about federal and state money, budgets will be cut and jobs may be lost. This small local food bank has stood beside the people in our community through thick and thin and we want to continue to do that. Please help us salvage local surplus food.
